My Mind is full  of worried thoughts as  I listen to the loud explosions of bombs destroying the city. As the buildings crash down and the windows smash.

I see people scared as they run to escape  the falling buildings and soldiers marching  loudly shooting their weapons.

My nose is filled with smoke and dust from the fire as the building continue to be destroyed. I can hear and see  families crying all around me. They seem to be running for their lives. There are  people that are injured and stumbling.

When I look back I see everyone  filled with sadness. I close my eyes and feel the blinding sight of  black, while hearing the sound of  a gun shooting. 

 

As the  soldiers burn my house down I snatch for my gold cross that my auntie gave me. A precious gift all the way from Dubai, the gift that makes  me feel calm and no longer on my own.

Kamusta and hello world, my name is Erich Wyne and I was born in the Philippines but moved to New zealand when I was 5 or 6 years old. I go to Saint Patrick school Panmure,  and I am 11 but turning 12 yrs old. Growing up I always wanted to be a singer songwriter and musician. I love music! I’m currently learning how to play the guitar and loving it. My favorite song is ‘Domino’ by Jessie J and ‘This is Me’ by Demi Lovato. My favorite movies are the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and my favorite color is aquamarine. I also like to wear shorts and a hoodie because it is very comfortable.
